I did an online test (thank you for the link Peter:)!) to see who I should have voted for, and according to http://www.whoshouldyouvotefor.com/ I should have voted SNP, had I been able to vote. I'm not even Scottish! SSP (!!!) come in close second place, Liberals in very close third. I got so frustrated hearing so many people had not bothered to vote. I would have loved to! A few more years and I might apply for Brittish citizenship... maybe. By the way...I tried to publish the wee diagram that they gave you, but that didn't work... damn. I am so computer illiterate! I just followed the instructions (as they gave you code you could copy and paste), and it still didn't work! Sigh!
Also found a job I might apply to! See http://www.spl.org.uk/news/2005_0305.html. It's for a receptionist in the Scottish Poetry Library in Edinburgh. Sounds good. Only 24hrs a week at £13,500 a year, but it does sound like an ideal job for me (apart from the computer literacy they expect, hehe, but could always get Derek to teach me:)). It is only a temporary post (a year). Hope it doesn't start till after summer, otherwise I don't even have to try apply! I do need to do uni work till the end of September (my dissertation deadline)! Guess I should just apply and see what happens.
Off home to finish that essay (aye, it's still not finished). Read a lot over the weekend, while Derek did work at my desk. Had nice weekend:)!

hiya! I have not commented on your blog for ages but i'm an avid reader. Sounds (reads rather) like everything is fine and smiling. I wondered if you had heard of Jack McConnel's plans to retain fresh talent (as in you) in Scotland. There's a website and service that could be of help to you:
